"I love you very much. But for three years now, it's like we're nose to nose. And when you're that close, you can't see all the beauty. I'm afraid to step back, and it's like I've forgotten what you're really like." This is what I once heard from my beloved boyfriend, now my husband.
That's when the idea of doing my first nude photoshoot came to mind. I've loved being photographed since childhood, enjoying the process and sharing the photos on social media. But I understood that I wouldn't display nude photos for everyone to see; only He would.
I had seen Sergey’s stunning photo works before, but I didn't realize that achieving such results was a whole science of lighting, choosing the model's pose, angle, and props (from ordinary chairs and fabrics to car tires, stylish cubes for support, chainmail, Christmas lights, and jugs of water). And I got acquainted with the first "prop" in the first minutes of the shoot when Sergey handed me two tubes of "Vaseline" with a request to apply it in the dressing room, and if it wasn't enough, to come back for a third 😂
The photos with droplets of water on my skin, masterfully lit to highlight my forms, which I previously thought were almost non-existent, exceeded all expectations! It truly is art!
The process of shooting was very pleasant. Especially because Sergey and I initially discussed all the poses and wishes I had chosen. Sergey only suggested additions or improvements, accepting my ideas. In the early stages of the shoot, I felt that all his attention and that of the second photographer, his assistant Roman Bolshakov, was on setting up the lighting and decorations. This eased my anxiety: "They're not photographing me, but this curve or these droplets of water on my skin." And when I became more comfortable, the master's work was focused on the pose. Sergey meticulously selected the most suitable position for not only each of my hands but each finger, asking me to move in the right direction and freeze. I'm a perfectionist, and such a meticulous approach resonates with me.
Of course, there were many more shoots that incorporated both my wishes and Sergey's very creative ideas. I realized that my self-esteem significantly strengthens with each photoshoot and the resulting beautiful images, thanks to a very professional master. Therefore, nude photography is a very effective tool for getting to know oneself and boosting self-confidence when you have a true specialist by your side 😀!
